We want to build a home, from scratch, in the uncomfortable.

As a metaphor the word undertow can refer to an unseen force pulling you in the opposite direction of societal pressures or hidden struggles and negative emotions. In this case, undertow is a force that Kae and I (Stef) have harnessed. It is constantly pulling away from the norm, it calls us to push boundaries within ourselves and seek adventure. That is the only way we know, or want to know.

In a world that is always influencing us to fit into a box we encourage our listeners to join us in the journey of finding your own perfect fit. For us, that means appreciating nature in everything we do, valuing human life or any life on this earth, finding the ways that our skills (in nursing or otherwise) can help make the world better, how differences are valuable, and how it all comes together.

Undertow is a project that intends to create a diverse community of people who are bold, creative, and curious. We want to build a home, from scratch, in the uncomfortable. With some good vibes, wisdom from voices past, and our own intuition we will learn from each other, valuing every moment, and dare to dream of a world where health is a human right, knowledge and fact are at the base of our decisions, and saving our planet is at the forefront of our minds.
